Our (my hubby and me) hike for 2016 was a 9 mile hike (01/09/16) in Crystal cove state park around the perimeter of the park. The difficulty of this hike was moderate.
This was an easy to moderate hike on a grey day. We came upon a lady and her friend who suffered an ankle sprain about a mile into our hike. It was pretty cool watching a Life Flight helicopter circle, avoid some power lines and land on the trail. Wonder how much this medical bill was?
The trail was very wide and maintained but still missed a turn off so ended up hiking an extra mile and half! Saw a few mountain bikers and other hikers but not too congested. Finished the day with a delicious lunch at the Beachcomber Restaurant with an awesome ambiance located on the beach. Took a quick hike to some tide pools before heading home having had an enjoyable day!

Hmm...interesting artifact in the tide pool (glasses fell off Jackie's head trying to get a good shot!)
Ahhh...end of a great day!
